Sahabat Kejora
Friends of Kejora, an island-wide partnership to strengthen early childhood education together.
Sahabat Kejora is our newest Kejora initiative. Meaning "Friends of Kejora," the program strengthens collaboration with preschools across Karimunjawa to improve educational quality together.
Through this initiative, participating schools can receive educational support worth up to IDR 5,000,000 (approximately €257) in the form of learning resources, technology, books, educational toys, outdoor equipment, sports materials, or school facility improvements.
We are proud that eleven schools have already submitted inspiring proposals, and we look forward to sharing the impact of this program in the coming months.
How it works
Partner preschools submit a short proposal describing the resources or improvements that would most benefit their students. Kejora reviews each application together with local educators and funds the selected projects directly, in books, materials or infrastructure.
Why it matters
Karimunjawa's early childhood educators do remarkable work with very limited resources. Sahabat Kejora exists to share what we have learned and to invest, in a practical way, in the schools our children's friends and neighbours attend every day.
