SD Alam Kejora
A future nature-based primary school for Karimunjawa, the next chapter of the Kejora learning journey.
SD Alam Kejora is our next big step: a primary school rooted in nature, community, and the specific rhythms of island life. It will welcome the children graduating from SPS Kejora and open its doors to families across Karimunjawa.
We're designing it slowly and carefully, together with local parents, teachers and educational advisors, because a school worth building is worth building well.
Rooted in Karimunjawa
SD Alam Kejora will teach the national Indonesian curriculum alongside deep, place-based learning, the marine ecosystem, local culture, food systems, language and craft of the island.
How you can help
Building a primary school on a remote island takes land, classrooms, teachers, books and time. If you'd like to hear about how to support this project, from bricks to scholarships, get in touch with the board.
