Practical English for the island, for children who dream big, and for adults who welcome guests to Karimunjawa every day.
English that opens doors
Kejora Language School (KLS) gives the children of Karimunjawa access to the English they'll need for secondary school and beyond, and it gives adults working in tourism the confidence to hold a real conversation with the foreign tourists they welcome to the island.
Classes are offered as private lessons or in small groups, covering writing, speaking, listening and reading. Students meet twice a week, and a flexible schedule is available on request to fit the timing that works best for them.
Kids' classes
Weekly English classes for children of primary and secondary school age (7 to 15), grouped by level and focused on writing, speaking, listening and reading.
Prices are based on 8 sessions.
- IDR 350,000 — 1 student
- IDR 325,000 — 2 students
- IDR 300,000 — 3 students
- IDR 275,000 — 4 students
- IDR 200,000 per student
Adults' classes
Homestay owners, guides, dive shop staff, cooks and drivers, practical English for the specific situations they face at work every day. General English and English for Tourism, because tourism is Karimunjawa's economy, and language is the door.
Prices are based on 8 sessions.

Scholarships at KLS are open to children and adults who would benefit from extra support to keep learning English, for many different reasons, personal, family, or circumstantial. They are made possible entirely by our donors and partners.
